The last night of our Masonic year saw us welcome Brother Steve Blake to our family. A terrific initiation ceremony conducted with Brotherly love which Steve said he really enjoyed. An initiation is really special both in the life of a Mason, and for the Lodge members as it celebrates both the growth and future prosperity of the Lodge and Freemasonry in general.
It was also the last ceremony for our Worshipful Master W. Bro Tony Marshall, a fitting end to a great year as Master of the Lodge.
We were pleased to welcome a number of visiting Brethren, one of which, W. Bro Martin Parrack, did a super job acting as our Senior Deacon for the night.
This was followed by a very enjoyable festive board among friends with good food, songs and toasts when we further welcomed Steve to the Lodge and raised £118 for the Almoners charity chest. A great night.
We now look forward to our Summer Officers meeting when we get together, along with partners and guests, both to socialise and review the work for our next Masonic year, starting in September, that will be presented by the Master Elect W. Bro Karl Smith.
